This project was a reinforced concrete insitu frame with brick clad with aluminium windows. The site was situated on a corner site but within a busy area of Reading in Berkshire, England.
As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor for the Main Contractor I valued the works of the directly employed bricklayers to agree their bonus payments. I also checked miscellaneous quantities for the Senior Surveyor as required.
On valuation days I produced the Materials On Site and agreed these with the Clients Quantity Surveyor. I also provided other measurements as required to aid the agreement of the main valuation. Following the valuation I would also assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor with the production of the cost-value report for the Main Contractor.
