This was the first project that I was the sole surveyor on for the reconstruction of some balconies on some private low rise flats in Maidenhead in Berkshire.
I had to organise the subcontracts, obtaining quotes and making interim payments. The main subcontractor was the plasterer. I also had to work out bonus payments for the directly employed bricklaying gang.
I was also responsible for liaison with the Elmslie Court management to ensure that interim payments were secured for my employer JM Jones and Sons Limited.
It was also my responsibility to produce the cost value report and to discuss this with the Surveying Director.
